What is plug in solar all about
Think of plug-in solar as a solar panel with a normal household plug on the end.
No scaffolding, no expensive electricians, and no holes through your roof. You literally unbox 1 or 2 compact solar panels, set them up in a sunny spot (like an outdoor wall, garden, or shed), and plug the cable straight into a weatherproof outdoor socket.
For plug-in solar, you need a couple of parts; here's how the 3 simple bits of kit work together:
- The Panels catch the sunshine
- A Micro-Inverter (the smart little box attached to the back) turns that raw sunshine into usable household electricity.
- The Cable & Plug feeds that free, green energy straight into your home's wiring
- Plus, you'll need a mount, either for a wall or to sit off the ground at an angle.
Once it's plugged in, your lights and appliances automatically draw from the solar energy generated first, before pulling power from the grid.

Installation
Installations cost a fraction of the price of traditional rooftop solar panels, and installations are done within 2 hours, keeping installation costs down.
